Usually we recognize one employee per month but we’d like to take a moment and recognize our Disaster Service Workers (DSWs). DSWs are City employees who have been temporarily reassigned positions and help in any way that’s needed.

“I’m proud of our DSWs serving our City.” says General Manager Adel Hagekhalil “They are the Angels in the City of Angels.”

Pictured here are Aron Hernandez, Urban Forestry Division and Dinora Montiel, Maintenance Division. They are both at a hotel in Van Nuys helping our unhoused population with shelter.
